Raw Material: Typically made from ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) fibers such as Dyneema®, which offer very high tensile strength and are lightweight compared to steel cables.
Strength and Durability: High breaking strength. For example, a 3/8-inch (approximately 9.5 mm) diameter rope can have a breaking strength of around 20,000 pounds (9 tons), while other ropes may have breaking strengths of up to 20 tons depending on the diameter and application.
Weight: Extremely lightweight and buoyant, making it easy to handle and install.
Resistance: Chemical and UV resistant. Corrosion and heat resistant, often with a protective sleeve at the ends to shield them from rough or hot surfaces. Does not tangle (bend sharply) or produce sharp splinters like steel cables, making it safer to use. Usage: Ideal for four-wheel drive (4x4) vehicles, Jeeps, and all-terrain vehicles (ATV and UTV) for off-road towing and recovery operations.
